中文摘要 乾隆31年（1766年）胡建偉奉命擔任澎湖通判時，有感於地方上讀書之人問道無門、苦無良師，加上當時又有地方紳士們請託，遂在報請上級同意後，隨即展開「文石書院」的創建，並於隔年4月建成。此後，書院又經歷了大大小小多次的整修改建，日治時期更改名為「澎湖孔子廟」，現則稱為「澎湖孔廟」。目前廟內建築僅存「魁星樓（登瀛樓）」為百餘年前所建，其餘均為民國91年（2002年）改建完工後之新建物。另庭院中現存的石碑與門額則述說著「文石書院」的過往歷史，其中刻有〈文石書院碑記〉的石碑為文石書院最早立下的石碑，而輾轉改置於廟內的施琅「靖臺碑」則記錄著鄭清海戰、臺澎納入清帝國版圖的史實。 本
